Reverend Louise Yakubisin
Director of Children's Education
Rev. Louise Yakubisin is a native of New Jersey and is a graduate of: Montclair University, B.S. Ed., M.Ed; and Bexley Hall Episcopal/Trinity Lutheran Seminary, M.Div. She taught family relations and child development courses at the high school level for ten years in New Jersey. After moving to Ohio, she took a few years off from work outside the home until her children were old enough to go to school. In 1990 Louise opened a child care center in Blue Ash. The center is still in operation and cares for children from infancy through grade school.
In 1997, God powerfully touched Louise’s heart and she gave her life to Jesus Christ. As she began seeking a deeper relationship with God, she was told by clergy that she had a call for ministry on her life. After much discernment, she decided she must pursue the call by attending seminary.
In addition to her education, Rev. Louise interned at St. Patrick’s Church in Lebanon, St. Mary Magdalene Church in Maineville, and she worked as a chaplain at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati. Joining Faith Christian Fellowship Church in the summer of 2011, Rev. Louise was formally ordained by the Evangelical Church Alliance in February, 2012. Reverend Ursula LaSorella
Teaching Minister
Ursula LaSorella was born and grew up in the Bronx, New York. After graduating from high school, she worked for a few years on Wall Street with several stockbrokers. She married and had children, but realized her life and marriage were not what she had thought they would be, and she did not have a happy life. One day, about three years after she married, she was invited to a Bible study by a neighbor. After initially resisting, she decided to go. She came to realize that alone, she could not cope with the pressures of marriage and having a strong willed child. God touched her heart and she had an intervention with the Holy Spirit, which led her to give her life to Jesus Christ in 1973.
Once saved, Ursula had a deep hunger to know more about God and everything that He was. Although she did not attend college, she has spent almost forty years of her life in intense study of the Word of God, attending conferences, Bible studies and seminars. She came to realize the gifts that the Holy Spirit had given her, and began to move in them, reaching out to everyone she came into contact with, preaching the Gospel to all who would hear. She became a strong evangelist. On May 17, 2009, Ursula was ordained, and is a teaching minister with Faith Christian Fellowship Church. Her quest to know all she can about the Lord continues to this day, and she is a wonderful example of God’s power in a person’s life.
Ursula is also an accomplished professional artist. Many of her paintings are on display at the church. She does not feel called to full time ministry, but rather to preach and teach the word of God. This is her specialty. She currently volunteers at a senior center, giving her the opportunity to bring God’s word to the residents. She and her husband Bill reside in Florida during the winter months. They have three sons and five grandchildren.
