There are currently three different women’s groups at Faith Christian. Women at FCFC can choose to participate in all three or in one of their choice. The Over 70’s Group Jean Dodt, leader of the group, wrote: We are a group of ladies, who might be called elderly, and that is why we call ourselves the Matriarchs of FCFC. The only way you can join this group is if you are approaching the age of 70 and want to start living it up again. Sometimes it’s easier to stay home. If you are able to get up and walk, each month we go and do something such as have lunch. So far we have had a luncheon and speakers. We went out to the Nature Center and to River Bend for a wonderful evening with the Cincinnati Pops. At present there are 18 ladies participating in this group. If you are interested in joining this group, please contact Jean Dodt at 271-8166. Ladies Book Club This group is being led by Debbie Coburn [231-2706]. The group has read and discussed Leif Enger’s, Peace Like A River, and William P. Young’s, The Shack. The Book Club meets once a month. Debbie Coburn should be contacted, regarding the date of the next meeting and the current book, which is being read and to be discussed. This is a small but very exciting group. Ladies’ Group Led by Ursula LaSorella The ladies’ group of FCFC will be geared to support one another in our faith and build one another up in the Lord. All women of all ages are welcome. An opportunity for the older women to mentor the younger is sure to be an asset to this group. Then there is the fun aspect! Many activities are planned by the group. Some of the past activities included: tea party, swim and bar-b-que, picnic at Woodland Mound State Park, Restaurant outing, and makeup party. Grace Walker will lead a devotional at each meeting. The camaraderie of this group is off to a flying start, and it can only get better!
